Solange, thankfully, did something amazing. And no, I’m not referring to the Street Fighter realness that happened inside the elevator last week.

I’m applauding her because of her bold fashion choices. Just when I thought it was not possible to go back, seeing Solange wear them made me fall in love with them again.

That’s right, they are back… FLORAL PATTERNS

I read about it on the pages of Harper’s Bazar and it bloomed from almost every single fashion blog. Floral is the hot trend of Spring 2014. And I was skeptical at first! We all know that Hawaiian shirts are over, (HALLELUJAH! -- unless you're in Hawaii, then I'll allow it). The question was how can you succeed in putting floral patterns on a human body without 1994 calling that they want their trend back?

Then… I saw Fashion Houses like Prada, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen and Gucci to name a few that were able to modernize the floral pattern. And oh, did I mention? They were part of this year’s Men’s Fashion Show! Two days after, I saw Solange rocking them in various events. It was then I said… Okay… let me reconsider. Picking the right colors and knowing how to arrange them on a fabric and then tailor them for a body is definitely what makes it modern. The best thing about flowers and colors? You can never go wrong. Talk about a bold statement for Spring/Summer!

So I’m raising the white flag. Because let me tell you… I just bought my very first. A Bomber jacket from Zara to be worn during Lady Gaga’s artRave: The ARTPOP Ball concert. How will it look?

Stay tuned. To be posted soon.
